Oklahoma names new Boating Law Administrator

The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is pleased to welcome Captain Damon Tucker, the new Boating Law Administrator (BLA) for the state of Oklahoma.
 
Captain Damon Tucker joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1998 and is a graduate of the 50th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy. He served as a state trooper assigned to Troop C in Muskogee for approximately 6 years. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2004 and supervised several counties in eastern Oklahoma. In 2005, Tucker transferred to the Investigations Division (Troop Z) in Oklahoma City. He was responsible for supervising and conducting both criminal and internal investigations. Tucker was promoted to Captain in 2007 and was assigned to the Investigations Division overseeing statewide criminal investigations and internal affairs cases. 
 
In 2012, Captain Tucker transferred to become the Troop Commander for Troop C which consists of seven counties in eastern Oklahoma. He remained commander of Troop C for approximately 10 years. In 2021, Captain Tucker transferred to the Marine Enforcement Division (Troop W) where he currently serves as commander for this troop. The Marine Enforcement Division of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is responsible for the patrolling the lakes and waterways throughout Oklahoma.  During the summer of 2023, Captain Tucker was named the Boating Law Administrator (BLA) for Oklahoma.   
 
Captain Tucker has an Associate Degree in Pre-Law from Connors State College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern State University. He has been married to his wife, Valerie, for 20 years and he has two sons, Cade, and Cord.
