The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is proud to announce Ron Sarver, CAE, as the Interim Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ron brings over three decades of invaluable experience in association management and a deep understanding of NASBLA's mission and operations. 
 
Ron has been an integral part of the NASBLA community since 1993, showcasing his dedication and expertise in various roles within the association. His extensive involvement includes staffing policy committees such as Paddlesports; Vessel Identification, Registration & Titling; and Law Enforcement and Preparedness & Response. Additionally, Ron has served as the association’s Chief of Knowledge & Learning Management, overseeing knowledge management, learning management, and content management systems to enhance NASBLA's capacity as a leading learning organization. 
 
Ron’s professional journey extends beyond NASBLA, having worked with organizations like the Council of State Governments, Southern Governors Association, National Emergency Management Association, Environmental Council of the States, and the National Council of State EMS Training Coordinators. His commitment to excellence was recognized in 2010 when he earned the prestigious Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives. 
 
A proud native of Virginia, Ron pursued his education at Berea College in central Kentucky and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in journalism. His educational background, combined with his extensive career in association management, positions him as a well-rounded leader poised to guide NASBLA through its next phase of growth and success. 
 
The NASBLA Executive Board is confident in Ron's ability to lead the organization effectively during this interim period. His wealth of experience, strategic vision, and dedication to NASBLA's mission make him the ideal candidate for steering the association towards continued achievements. NASBLA looks forward to a seamless transition and continued progress under his leadership.
