Pennsylvania names new Boating Law Administrator

Paul Littman - PA
The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is pleased to welcome Paul Littman, the new Boating Law Administrator (BLA) for the state of Pennsylvania.

Paul comes to Pennsylvania from New York where he served as the Boating Law Administrator and the Director of Marine & Recreational Vehicles for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Paul directed the agency’s operations in Recreational Boating Safety, public vessel inspection and licensing, and the snowmobile unit. Throughout his state service, Paul was actively engaged in NASBLA and a member of the Engineering, Reporting and Analysis (ERAC) Committee.

Prior to his state service in New York, Paul pursued multiple entrepreneurial careers. He has owned and operated ventures in entertainment, IT system design and retail franchising, and income tax preparation and financial planning. He most recently owned and operated a fleet of tour boats in the Adirondack Park of New York. He has a B.S. in Economics.

Paul recently relocated to the Harrisburg area with his wife. They have four grown children. He enjoys volunteer service and has been a firefighter and a fire district commissioner, co-founder of a search and rescue team, and a state boating safety instructor for over 20 years. He has spent a lifetime avidly pursuing a wide variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and, of course, boating. He enjoys renovating historic buildings and placed one of his properties on the National Historic Register in 2023.

Paul began his new role with the Commission on Monday, February 5, 2024.
