On February 2, 2024, Chelsea Hofmeier of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks passed the Certified Recreational Boating Professional (CRBP) exam and earned her CRBP certification. The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is pleased to recognize Chelsea Hofmeier as one of the recent achievers of the CRBP credential.

The CRBP certification, developed by NASBLA, is a voluntary credential for recreational boating professionals that encompasses knowledge, performance, and career achievements in specific program domains.

Chelsea Hofmeier currently serves as the Boating Education Coordinator for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. In addition to overseeing the Boating Education Program, Hofmeier is a member of the coordination team for her agency’s Becoming an Outdoors Woman program. One of her passions is helping women gain confidence while learning to recreate outdoors.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology from Fort Hays State University, Hofmeier spent several years traveling the country doing avian field work before transitioning to her role as a boating safety educator in 2016. She enjoys the small-town lifestyle with her husband and two young children.

Hofmeier serves on the National Boating Standards Panel, the Boating Education Advisory Panel, the NASLBA Paddlesports Committee, and currently chairs the NASBLA Education and Outreach Committee. She is a graduate of the NASBLA Leadership Academy, having completed the program in 2019.

Join NASBLA in extending congratulations to Chelsea Hofmeier for earning the designation of Certified Recreational Boating Professional!
