The MOU enumerates the associations' efforts in support of recreational boating safety objectives for the benefit of boaters throughout North America. In the MOU, NASBLA and IAMI pledge to cooperatively engage in marketing and social media aimed at the broad maritime community of recreational boaters; jointly pursue projects beneficial to boaters and boating; and identify and develop training opportunities on issues such as vessel identification, incident investigation and reconstruction, theft prevention, and more.
This signing ceremony follows a similar event at NASBLA's Annual Conference in September 2023 in Denver, Colorado.
