NASBLA Kicks Off 2024 Spring Events
State RBS Workshop

The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is hosting the 2024 State Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) Workshop and the first-ever Education Seminar this week in Lexington, Kentucky. The State RBS Workshop kicked off on March 12 and concludes on March 13. This annual two-day meeting provides boating authorities with an opportunity to attend sessions on current and emerging issues affecting boating program management and engage in open dialogue with their colleagues on topics specific to state recreational boating safety programs.

In conjunction with this year's Workshop, NASBLA's policy committees will hold their spring meetings on March 14. The six NASBLA policy committees meeting this week include Education & Outreach; Enforcement & Training; Engineering, Reporting & Analysis (ERAC); Finance & Grants; Paddlesports; and Vessel Identification, Registration & Titling (VIRT).

The inaugural NASBLA Education Seminar will then take place from March 15 to 16. The Education Seminar is a day-and-a-half event for recreational boating safety education professionals. Attendees will experience hands-on learning about towed watersports education, life jackets, outreach & education activities, social media marketing, and more.
