North Dakota Game Warden Jerad Bluem Earns Certified Recreational Boating Professional (CRBP) Certification
On March 30, 2024, District Game Warden Jerad Bluem of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department passed the Certified Recreational Boating Professional (CRBP) exam and was awarded his CRBP certification. The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is pleased to recognize Jerad Bluem as one of the individuals who have recently attained the CRBP credential.
The CRBP certification, developed by NASBLA, is a voluntary credential for recreational boating professionals. It encompasses knowledge, performance, and career achievements in specific program domains.
Jerad Bluem, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, has served as a field warden with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department for 15 years. In addition to his field warden duties, Bluem's commitment to safety and expertise are evident in his roles as a department taser, defensive tactics, and tactical medical instructor, where he ensures the preparedness and skill of his colleagues.
Bluem also holds a NASBLA certification in the Level I Comprehensive Boating Incident Investigation Course and is a graduate of NASBLA’s 2023 Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) Leadership Academy, showcasing his commitment to professional development and leadership in the field. As a member of the NASBLA Enforcement and Training Committee, Bluem's leadership extends to the oversight of the engine cut-off switch charge.
Outside of his role as a game warden, Bluem continues to serve his community as an EMT and Board President with the Kidder County Ambulance, highlighting his unwavering dedication to public safety.
