Hawaii names new Boating Law Administrator

The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is pleased to welcome Meghan Statts, the new Boating Law Administrator (BLA) for the state of Hawaii.

Meghan Statts was born and raised in Kailua, Oahu, and is a proud graduate of Kailua High School.

With a career dedicated to public service, Meghan has been an integral part of the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, for 29 years. Throughout her tenure, she has held various positions and currently serves as the Administrator for the Division. The Division has been tasked with 13 mandates, including the oversight and management of all state small boat harbors and ocean waters from the high-water mark out to three miles.

Outside of her professional commitments, Meghan is an avid soccer player and enjoys spending time in nature, whether hiking or exploring Hawaii's beautiful ocean waters.
