    Good Afternoon Everyone!

Ohio's State Parks are looking into / considering conducting waterway capacity studies.  We are very interested to know if any other states or park systems have conducted such studies, and if so:

     - Was it done in-house or was a consultant hired?

     - Do you believe that all potentially impacted aspects were considered?

Social (type of activity / type of vessel / user conflict / perception of safety / quality of recreational experience / etc.)

Physical (actual and perceived impact on resource / access to facilities and amenities / ecological assessment / turbidity and HABs / etc.)

Managerial (adequacy of facilities and other resources / observance or complaints of unlawful activity / reasonable launch and retrieval time at boat ramps / etc.)

     - Over what time period (months / years) was the study conducted: were previously collected statistics used or were "real-time" observations and stakeholder opinions gathered during the study?

     - What is your level of confidence in the final product (do you think there was any inherent preconceived outcome or bias)?

If you are interested in looking over the types of information we were considering for inclusion in the study, I am attaching a preliminary draft of the scope of work that we put together after a 'brain-storming' session.  Please feel free to share any advice or recommendations related to your experiences with this type of study.

    THANK YOU!
