The National Drowning Prevention Alliance is a 501(c)3 non-profits focused on water safety in the United States. Drowning remains a significant public health problem in the United States. Drowning is now the single leading cause of death for children aged 1-4 and is a leading cause of injury death for every other age group. Drowning is also 100% preventable. Join the NDPA as we breakdown the latest drowning statistics, what the data teaches us about the problem, and how it informs our prevention efforts. A review of NDPA's resources, tools, marketing materials, and prevention work will be included in the presentation. We will also briefly review the work and development of the US National Water Safety Action Plan.
